Two new Nokia phones officially announced

Nokia today officially announced two new candybar phones that had the blogosphere buzzing for the last 2 weeks ever since Nokia had announced an event on August 25th. The first one is the Nokia N79which is an upgrade to the N78 and comes with a 5Mpxl camera with Carl-Zeiss optics, geotagging and GPS.  It also comes with a FM tuner and direct access to Nokia Music Store. For storage there is a 4GB microSD card slot with support up to 8GB cards. To top it all, it comes in a lime green back which looks cool.

The other phone that Nokia announced today was the N85. This phone comes with 2.6-inch AM OLED 2.6 inch QVGA (240 x 320 pixels) with up to 16 million colours display, a 5 megapixel camera, and geotagging capabilities. Nokia has positioned this as a gaming device and as such it comes preloaded with 10 N-gage demo games and customers can purchase one for free. It also features GPS, Nokia Maps, FM receiver, access to Nokia Music Store and dedicated keys for music. Storage is handled through a microSD card slot that supports 8GB cards.

Both devices are scheduled to be released in Europe next month.
