Nokia announces new version of Ovi

Nokia today announced the new version of its Ovi.com service which is now in public beta. According to Jussi Nevanlinna, Vice President of Product and Portfolio Management in Nokia’s Services & Software business, the new version allows users to

easily backup, sync and share your content using Ovi services on your PC, the web and your mobile device.

Nokia also announced the availability of Nokia Ovi Suite for PC and Files on Ovi. The Nokia Ovi Suite for PC is a downloadable application that allows the user to easily copy files between PC and Nokia mobile device. Files on Ovi allows the user to access any files on their PC from any browser-enabled device or remote PC via the Internet.

Nokia is going to demonstrate these features at an online event starting at 15:00 CET on Tuesday, September 9. This event is ongoing at the time of this writing. A similar question and answer session will be held from 07:10 CET on Wednesday, September 10.
