Sony Ericsson launching Xperia X1 on September 30

Sony Ericsson today announced that Xperia will be available in select markets beginning September 30. The first to launch will be UK, Germany and Sweden. Other markets in Europe, Asia and Latin America will follow throughout Q4, 2008. However, launch dates for America, China, Australia and Russia have not been announced. To countdown to the launch date, SE is also going to host a live webcast on September 15th. You can register for the webcast here.   1. Just to add, they finally said on the offical xperia x1 blog that the phone’s USA date will be stated on Nov. 3, 08, so you know its not making it overseas before then for the American crowd.

  2. Thanks, Tommy for the update. I am sure a lot of us are looking forward to the X1. I tried it at the CTIA show last week and it was a cool product, especially the panels.

  3. Your welcome, I haven’t yet seen the phone other than on the computer, but I am waiting patiently for it to come to America. Although I may purchse the unlocked version, it doesnt sound like the folks in the UK are having a lot of luck actually getting it from the stores yet anyhow.
